Collection of Users' Personal Information

When you register for session proposal or participation, we may ask for personal information to identify specific individual. It includes your name, affiliation and e-mail address.

Use of Collected Personal Information

We will save, use and analyze the collected personal information, within the limit of SCWS activities according to this Privacy Policy.

Disclosure of Personal Information

■ Session proposal

We will not disclose to any third party the collected information, except for the following three instances:

1) where certain personal information is disclosed to other staff of JST or other contracting party to the extent that such disclosure is needed to render certain services to you. In this case, we will take the reasonable steps and measures to assure confidentiality and prevent collected personal information from being incidentally disclosed to a third party;

2) where disclosure is required, based on legal grounds; or

3) where your consent to disclosure is specifically given, when your proposal is selected as a session of SCWS2017.

■ Registration for Participation

Your name, affiliation and e-mail address will be printed on the participant list distributed at the venue unless your participation is not canceled on the appointed day.
In case you need your data to be kept confidential within the Secretariat, please inform us when you register . We will disclose to a third party the collected personal information in the cases mentioned above as 1) and 2)

■Open Web Forum

All information you enter is disclosed on the website including personal information. Secretariat of SCWS2017 assumes no responsibility for any difficulties resulting from you posted information.

Use of Photos and Videos

The SCWS2017 official cameraman will take photos/videos during the conference, which will be posted on the SCWS2017 official website. We appreciate your understanding.

Security

We will endeavor to safeguard the collected personal information from missing, leaking, misuse, alteration or destruction, through reasonable security measures. Please note that it is impossible to assure absolute and perfect security measures.

Changes to the Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated or changed. When updated or changed, it will be posted on this website for your attention.
